Achievements

  • In 2006 just after establishing our society, first we conducted a nationwide endoscopic equipment survey. That time 92 percent of all national endoscopy system was optical fibroscopy system. ・   In 2008 we submit the proposal to Mongolian government to renew endoscopy system. Collaborating with policymakers of the Ministry of Health we replaced all optical fibroscopy system to upgrade 100% video system. It allowed us to improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment of digestive tract diseases
  • Since 2006 every year we have been organizing professional meeting for digestive disease week and twice a year conducting endoscopic training course for endoscopic doctors and nurses
  • Previously endoscopic doctors were graduated from surgeons and radiologists in Mongolia. Fortunately, since 2008 we changed this structure to endoscopic doctors graduated from Gastroenterologist which allowed us for improving our skills and preparing internationally qualified specialists.・   Since 2014 active research and support activities for national and international research are being conducted.・   New endoscopic treatment technologies introduced and localized: Hemostatic procedures, ESD, EMR, EVL, LECS, ERCP, EUS, POEM, ARM, Dilatation, Gastric balloon
